Re: '9 Dalmuir West'
Tram and subway were my route across the city to school for many years. Stood at Central Station on the final day to see a procession of all the classes of tram. They stretched across a large part of the west of Scotland with Glasgow trams linking with those of Paisley and Renfrewshire, on private tracks, where they would pick up considerable speed across the open countryside. In the summer holidays school children could go as far as you wanted for 1d (old penny). I remember cycling across the city to visit a friend and my bicycle wheel getting caught in a tram rail on one King George V Bridge in the rush hour.
