As a collector of long standing, and with zero modelmaking skills, I have always appreciated and been prepared to pay for models of various kinds in my collection.
To live within my means I have limited the scope of the models I collect to about 1960 to 1990 warships and merchants. I also usually keep my older less detailed stuff rather than trading up to detailed versions.
