I look forward to seeing pictures of your girls. You never know about some mares, some prefer to be put up close to foaling ans some don't. My mare Sissy loves to go in the barn, and when she gets close to foaling she starts standing at the far end of the pasture closest to the barn. That is usually when I know to put move her to the barn. I did have a stall walker though, and what I did was move her anyhow earlier so she could get adjusted. After about three-four days she settled down and started likeing the extra attention. Any horse in the barn gets extra care, grooming, treats, and baths.
