Tickets are available in advance through the Festival office(613-562-1243) and at the Archives site before the event. The cost to attend this talk is: $12 General / $10 Students & Seniors / Free for Festival Members Day Pass: $35.
I'm reading Gary's book, Kluge, and plan to post my review on this page before Sunday. The evidence he uncovers is both interesting and very important in terms of how humankind continues to regard itself. I'm totally certain you'll enjoy his presentation.
Yes, everything from language through theology, politics - culture in general will need to be reassessed in light of the new brain science. Kluge is a brief often laid back summary of what neuroscience continues to reveal. Since we're discovering the mind-brain looks more like a series of on-the-fly adjustments than a one time divine gift, it's hard to take the whole business too seriously. Let's talk about it: here.
