Well, I'm right there with you Meg. (By the way...in our next new episode--airing 8/15 btw--someone yells out an Alton Brown line I'm sure you'll appreciate!)
But yeah, couldn't agree more. It really was one of my favorite films of the summer. I know alot of people didn't think there was enough emphasis on the "monster" but I think it was kept from us just enough so that when we did find out what was really going on (kinda) it had a "realistic" effect. You know? Like it actually seemed disturbingly weird and messed up. Which, if we had been given full disclosure earlier, would have made it just horror show as usual. By keeping it hidden, it totally justified Skinner's "WTF!" reaction when he stormed in and started screaming at people. I loved that.
Yeah, I really, really dug the film. I want to go find Chris Carter and give him a hug and tell him...no, really, you did good!
And yeah, FIDO is fantastic!
