Hi Jackie,
How long have you been on the diet? If you're in your first two weeks, I would still encourage you to keep going. Maybe just go a few extra days with NO CARBS. If you fall off a bicycle, get back up and keep riding, right? But if you're outside that initial period, absolutely keep going!!! If you have read the book by Dr. Atkins, you will see that the successful way to continue eating carbs is to know how many your body can take in a day, without gaining....start low, and add carbs until you gain. You will learn what you carb limit is for the day, and you can live by that. Also, if you reach a plateau in your weight loss, the book says you may cheat, however, only cheat with 1 food. In other words, don't have mashed potatoes and corn, for example. Only one of your "cheat" foods. Then continue as normal.
It is a very successful diet for some. My husband wasn't very good on it, but I have done wonderfully! So, if you don't see the results you desire, maybe this is not the diet for your particular make up.
Good luck! And I hope this makes some sort of sense....lol
