Kelly,Depending were you live it may be to early to completely expose banana trees at this time.If uncovered in mid April you should cover the plant with plastic to keep it dry and to warm the ground.A bare, wet and cold ground will take longer for the first leaf to sprout and may do harm.You should see something by May.Sometimes the main trunk won't come up but you will see several baby nubs shooting out from the sides.I live in Zone 7 and follow these steps and seen good results with Musa Basjoo and I have alot of Golden Rhinohorns.When the weather warms up I'll use 10-52-10 or 10-30-10 fertilizer every 10 days using 1 scoop in a watering can.I hope your banana tree come up.
