Posted by Scale Racing League I have been told "the previous stock piston is no longer available". The new piston has been designed to produce more compression by repositioning the piston rings. The problem I see with this is that anyone who does not need the refresh is going to have spend the money anyway in order to remain competitive. I am not sure when the pistons started being installed, so if your not sure if you already have it, please contact your engine builder. Of course the old piston will still be legal, but at this time I have no choice but to make the new piston legal as well.

It has come to my attention that Honda has made a change to the stock piston that will produce a performance advantage.
Unfortunately, after speaking with Tim at Extreme Engine Systems, the process to change over to the new piston will require an engine refresh and the install of the new piston. Total cost $465.00
Thank you
