It is immensely important in Russia; the Czar might have been foolish and not a good ruler, but that is something very different form a criminal. Rehabilitation were done, but refused for the Czar as there was no a court ruling. The Grand Duchess was right to point out that this shd have triggered even more a rehabilitation. Condamnation without a court ruling is even worse than a wrong condamnation by a court. The historical debate about the Czar and his rule is to be continued but on the right parameters
