One day after his cousin. He was legally surnamed Romanoff de Russie by the French Republic upon gaining citizenship of that country. He is better know to most of us as Prince Michael Feodorovich.
He leaves his granddaughter, Tatiana, whom he adopted after his son Michel was killed in an accident and her mother, Mercedes, whom Michel married in order to more easily adopt and provide Tatiana.
