What I would love to see is the thing that is not very likely to happen:
Maria and the Romanoff Family Association come to an agreement:
Maria retain the headship for her lifetime, but she lifts the equality requirement in favor of a system when the Head of the House only needs to approve the marriage the marriage for it to be dynastic.
Then she retroactively approves the marriages that taken place since March 1917.
This would create several male dynasts so the Headship of the House would remain in the male lines, but would also allow Maria to retain her current position for the remainder of her life. The only one who would be out anthing would be her son George, and from what I have heard about him, he might actually prefer that outcome.
If this were to come to pass is some alternate reality, the next person in line would become Tim Pavlovich, the elder son of the late Paul Ilyinsky. Tim and his younger brother, Michael, only have daughters so the next male would be the two Romanovichi brothers, but would presumedly not outlive both Tim and Michael, so it then goes to the senior living descendants of Grand Duke Alexander and Grand Duchess Xenia (Nicholas II's sister). Currently that is Andrew Andreievich, who has three sons. There are also other malines in this line should those three not have direct male heirs.
