I always so bad fro George in this regard. Because of the rigid adherence to the idea of equality that his mother and grandfather held on to, he will have to marry an equal pricess. I suspect he may be somewhat older before that happens.
If Maria were to amend the rules for him, she woiuld open herself up to HUGE pressure from all sides to recognize one of the living male Romanovs as the true Head of the House.
