Nothing wrong with big dogs. My boy gets picked on all the time by those with small dogs, but I bought him as a pup due to what his Sire was. He's perfect for what we (Rieko and I) like regardless of what the little dog people have to say. I had a friend come over today and I dared him to go in my yard (nothing doing) with my big boy loose. If you like under 80 pound males...nothing wrong with it, but for others to knock a dog because he's bigger than the little dog on their yard is just a way trying to make their dog look as equal. I'll take my straight stifel 27 inch more athletic monster any day over a more conformationally correct small dog anyday. I own Rocky and Caesar straight out and Caesar sleeps in the house at night. There's a reason.
Mojo is already larger than a lot of adult bully males so Gil will get picked on continually when he's his Pop's size.
Bigger may not be better, but when you are looking for intimidation...large and capable ABs are better guard dogs. Don't believe me...put them to the test.
