I appreciate the comments, even if they are stream of consciousness. Besides, it made plenty of sense.
I agree that the issue isn't really whether or not people should be having so many children, as it is happening. The issue, as I see it, comes down to pretty much the same thing that every thing else does, the need for education and information. Of course that leads down the path of - the people who don't care about getting the information in the first place are unlikely to make use of available information - but that is slightly off topic.
My main point was that I think people should put more thought into having children (as you note, having unprotected sex = having children), than they seem to.
The whole genital herpes bit could have been left out, but that is what got me thinking on the topic again, so I included it. Further, I think it helps make the point that so many people have it that it is either from a lack of information or a lack of caring, neither of which is a good thing for a potential parent. It was sarcastic, but I still think semi-topical. (okay, quasi-topical.)
I could go on but I think you've made better points than I could. Life is more than yourself.
