I received a report from outside evaluator who provided an interpretation of standard score of 10 in both exp/rec language as being "significantly below average" range. I can't find this in the manual anywhere. As far as I know, this would be "marginal to below average", falling in the 1.0-1.5 s.d. below average range?. The problem is parent is going by this report of falsely interpreted results (as far as I'm concerned). This evaluator also uses the Spanish Edition PLS-5 with a Portuguese translator, and reports the scores of the standardized test, eventhough it was translated. I.e. Portuguese speaking student given a Spanish edition of PLS-5, translated into Portuguese. Bilingual SLP reports scores. Its a mess and I dont know what to do!
