I do therapy with children who have moderate to severe autism. They are ages 3-5. Any suggestions on motivating activities. I feel like most of my sessions are spent with the children laying on the floor and refusing to work. Most of the time the only thing to get them to sit or use their PECS is the IPad. I hate to use the IPad every session but nothing else seems to beat that. Ideas???
We do Mr. Potato Head (not motivating), jumping (works well), putty (somewhat motivating) and many more.
I feel like I am not able to think of anything motivating these days.
