If the child has very reduced output, groping for placement when shown a model, vowel distortions, increased difficulty with increased length of phrases etc etc I think it's time to dx. Have you looked at the Apraxia Kids Website? It is a WEALTH of information. I have a David Hammer CD you can buy from me if you have a PayPal account
