Actually, the parent putting their request for testing in writing will speed up the process much more than you doing it. After they administration receives the parent letter, they have 90 days to test. The schools have the right to do their own testing, but you can offer to give yours to expedite the process. I love when I get outside testing that is current. It saves me a lot of time.
The one thing to remember is that school services are very different than private. The schools have a lot stricter criteria to qualify. The child has to have a moderate delay. Mild does not qualify.
