I agree, most of my kids are set up through the Intermediate Unit in my area and will get start school with an IEP. However, some of the kids I see do not qualify for the IU or choose not to go there. I have one mom in particular who was already in contact with her district and they said they could not test him until the teacher referred him for ST services. She asked me to write a letter explaining that he already receives speech privately and it would be beneficial to continue speech in school once it starts this fall.
I was just wondering if anyone had any sort of template from doing this before or any information that they always include.
