I have a 3. 5 year old kiddo and we have been working on articualtion (specifically Kaufman word combinations) for several months, in order to narrow down articulation issues. He has the cards down pat, can say them spontaneously when first seen. However when carrying them over into everyday conversation he loses the shape/articualtion of the words completley. We have even tried mixing the cards together in ordre to practice phrases (i.e. mommy eat banana) he can say each word on his own AND can say the phrase perfectly if I model it first but to state this or anyother phrase on his own, like in play or at home he loses the words compeltely. I can't tell if this an articualtion issue of language (understanding how and what words to put together). How do I go about figuring that out, because he seems to have a lot of functional vocabulary (he knows a lot in labeling).
