I have a nonverbal preschooler as well (although she has been dx with autism). I have focused a lot on motor movements during song play. She initially just watched, then we did hand over hand, now she will imitate the motor movements I put on songs. Just last week (after 4 months) she said the name of a song verbally. I about wanted to cry!
