I believe the disc is a completely separate thing, and it's called the HCAPP (Hodson Computerized Analysis of Phonological Patterns). I bought it a few years ago. On the plus side, it is VERY quick and easy to phonetically type in the entries (they give you a set of symbols to just click on for the odd ones not on a keyboard). You get results immediately and they are broken down into the patterns and % of occurrence, just as the hand-scored Hodson is. The down side of the program, at least for the version I bought, is that the disc is outdated and doesn't save on my computer. I can print out a hard-copy report on the child but if I try to save it and open it, everything shows up as circles and squares. Not the end of the world, but it would be nice to be able to have a copy on my computer for future reference. I don't know if there's a new version of this -- I bought it about 3 years ago. Here's the link:

Also, it doesn't come with the actual test items. I made my own pictures (Dawn's materials helped tremendously) and mounted them on notecards, then punched holes and put them on a metal ring. The software does give you a form you can print out to write answers on (with correct pronunciations written phonetically above the blank). The software was not cheap but it has saved me TONS of time compared to trying to score those big forms.
We didn't have budget money to buy the whole Hodson test, and this plus Dawn's pages provided a good substitute.
