I have actually had this happen with several of my 4 and 5 year olds. I go back and work on minimal pairs with t vs k (like tan/can, tap/cap). I also work on 2 syllable words that have both t and k in them (such as turkey, taco, tickle, token, cotton). This has seemed to help with my little ones.
