I've also incorported social skills in a follow up art activity to a story based on a theme. After targeting comprehension ?'s in a story...different levels of wh ques. then follow up art related to theme...using art materials, have various kids pass out materials, asking each other...who needs glue? who needs the yellow marker now? etc...peers have to say I do, etc and then peer passing out will say here you go, etc...working on eye contact, acknowledgement of other's needs etc.(having only one color of each so they have to exchange colors and share elicits much peer requesting...have only one glue bottle, 2 paintbrushes, etc)
