I am re-screening some children (3 y.o.) for possible RTI. I have 2 that passed all areas on the PLS-4 screening except connected speech. I have made the teachers a packet with bi-weekly probes for language and artic., but what would they use for intelligibility (for tier 1)? One of the kids I would say is at intelligible at least 50% of the time if not more, the other is 50% or less (I'm estimating). I don't want (and we're not supposed to unless the kid is severely unintelligible) to jump the gun and refer before trying interventions. Any suggestions are helpful and appreciated!!
