This child is going to be 4 in 2 months. Although he is missing other sounds, his only active processes are velar fronting (not stimulable for k and g) and cluster reduction (with prevocalic sm and st emerging). He does not have: [k,g, ing, voice or voicless th, r, y,or l] He also nasalizes his y's and some l's with n's like "nes" for "yes" and nee-no-nay for lee-lo-lay.
I am trying to read up of target selection to make sure I am on the right path.
Right now I am working on postvocalic /k/ and clusters. I am doing a lot of auditory bombardment and auditory recognition/discrim. However, I am feeling like I am getting scattered and am now trying to regroup to follow the Cycles Approach. I am relearning in the process.
He is tactile defensive , so I can't get near his mouth. Yet another area I am working on.
