I have luck in eliciting a /p/ in CV combination by using feather as visual cue. Kids are motivated by watching the feather being blown up when they produce a correct /p/. They have a lot of fun in a feather racing game in which we compete to make a feather flies to a destination with the least trials of production of /p/.
