I do both classroom lessons and pull-out lessons in small groups, or is some cases, individually. The classroom lesson allows me to model for the teacher and the support staff. They are with the kids every day, so it is helpful to provide strategies for them. Occasionally, I make a comment to the adults during the lesson to point out something that I want them to really pay attention to. There are 3 SLP's in my early learning environment. We are fortunate in that the teachers will take data for us during the lesson. We do have to continually coach them to get the kind of data that we want. The classroom lesson usually involves some kind of language development story.
