For those of you who are using Cycles, I have a question about dismissal. I understand that a process should be eliminated from cycles when it used 40% or less of the time. However, do you actually dismiss your student from therapy when he achieves this criterion level for all of his processes? Or do you keep him on your caseload longer to help monitor or even facilitate generalization?
I'm asking this because I have a kiddo whose singele-word productions are almost perfect. His overall intelligibility is good relative to where he was when we started. However, it's definitely not perfect. And he has days when he comes to therapy, and I'm still not understanding some of his speech. I know that his parents want him to continue therapy. I'm just not sure what I should expect at this point. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you.
