Yes it is a process called Intervocalic Deletion. I really wouldn't worry about it as it's not a primary pattern. From your examples, I would do Cycles and focus on the primary patterns this child needs (stridents, clusters?, etc.). You will probably see the deletion correct itself. It's what I would try.
