Tread lightly...if this is the first time parents have been confronted with this, chances are they will be resistent. Hopefully, you are in the schools and have the support of special ed teachers, ot, autism specialist, psychologist etc. I would suggest it come from the team. I find that it is much easier if it comes from the team rather than SLP only.
