I have been working with a 2 1/2 year old for over 6 months now and have seen very little progress. He has approximately 15 words that he uses when prompted. I suspect possible apraxia, but it is hard to tell since he refuses to try to imitate anything majority of the time. My question is how in the world can I get this kid to imitate more? I'm still trying to get him to imitate vowel sounds and VC words. I have the Pam Marshalla book, I've tried some of her ideas with no success yet. I've tried all the basics, motivating toys etc. Ideas???
