Dear Elslp do not worry! It sounds as if you are doing the right thing. It will not hurt this child that to have his other therapist work on vowels while you work on consonants, because both are important to intelligibility. He may have a phonological processing problem and you can address that as well. I find that using minimal pairs to work on phon errors really makes a difference with intelligibility.
