I need advice on how to read books. Each time I bring a book to therapy, the children I see are not too enthused about it, and I have a feeling it's because I am so bad at it!! I would love to use books more in my sessions, but really need help. I use voices and try to be really enthusiastic, but I have no idea how to make it interesting. It doesn't take very long to get through the book, either (about 2 min), and the kids are usually shutting the book halfway through. Also, I try to target wh questions with books, but I find that my kids get so confused and never answer the questions correctly. Do I read the story first, and then go through it again but this time asking questions? What are tough questions and easy questions to ask when reading books? I know this is pathetic, but please help!! Thank you
