That is a good question and I am not sure of the answer. Logically, I would think the stridency would transfer since you are talking about a feature of the sound and not a particular sound itself. What a great case study this will be. I say go for it and document what you did. I would love to see how this goes, so please update on here as you Cycle through or email me.
You have to pick a program to use anyway and it has to be in English, so I would definitely use Cycles and see if there are generalizations to Spanish.
