I just evaluated a preschooler who will be in kindergarten this fall. His scores on the CELF-P:2 were pretty low across the board. However, I think a lot of the problem- and his preschool teacher agrees- is that he has an extremely short attention span and is relatively immature. All he wants to do is play! I am writing receptive and expressive language goals, but am unsure if I should write a goal for attention. I'd also like to refer for ADHD screening, so I'm not sure if a goal for attention should even be something I address at this point. Thoughts??? Thank you!
