I go into the classroom with the PT, OT, and the adaptive PE teacher. Along with the the teacher and her two aides, we are able to have four centers that we rotate the students through. We start with all in the circle where we read a story, have "wh" questions, sequencing, rhyming, or some related language activity. Then we rotate to fine motor, gross motor, and music activity-all of which are related to the theme of the week and the story read during the circle time.
We use the Learning to Move-Moving to Learn book (OT's book) to give us ideas and themes.
It has worked really well for three years now. I only pull out my really severe artickers.
