I have a 4 year 11 month boy who has speech delays (88 SS ) on gfta , and also within the last 6 months I've really noticed his grammar , syntax, and morphology is really poor as well. I have been working on can't/don't is/are , has/have, he/she and sentences too . . mostly having him imitate my production ( he will say " i can't not have dat one", "do you has a lot" ) . Very smart boy , but so unintelligible due to speech and language. I think he wil qualify for services in kindergarten and summer, but the mom wants to know if he is regressing and wants to know why his grammar is not that great...any suggestions ??? she is also very competitive with her child and neighborhood moms which is really frustrating as she continues to compare him to everyone.
