So it is the time of the year to conduct end of the year review with parents and educators about my speech kids.
One question on my review is to document child's progress in classroom and to include a description of a lack of progress.
So for most of my kids, it is fairly straightforward. Kid made progress, kid's progress is slow because of chronic absences (all the easy, factual reasons).
What I am having difficulty with is with those kids who are still immature, who are focused on playing. I have consulted with the teachers, and they said kid is only interested in play and once she mature and learn that it is not all about play, she may actually make some progress. And this kid is like that with me during tx too.
SO.... how do I document that kid is preoccupied with play and is not in the learning mode, without offending parent or sounding unprofessional???
