In addition to the previous suggestions, I would also recommend gross motor activitiies and receptive ID of body parts and clothes. At first, you do the motions as you request the child to do it too, then when you think he understands the request, fade your models. You can also attempt to elicit imitation of oral movements and sounds. Try to be really animated and excited, it can be a great motivator.
