I just purchased Moving Across Syllables and the Kaufman cards (set 1). MOS seems like it's better suited for older children. In the introduction, it says that it's designed for ages 3-10. I might try it with my 4-year-old's. As for the Kaufman cards, I am going to return those. There is an instruction manual included that gives some brief therapy ideas. However, the cards basically just show you how to break down words so that the child can produce them or an approximation of them. FOr example, for the word "whip," you try eliciting "oo-ip. I'm already doing this with my kiddos, so i don't feel like the cards are really giving me any new info. Also, most of my kiddos are under three and don't respond well to card drills. However, you may like them. They are colorful.
I've read some previous posts where two books were recommended: Just for Kids-Apraxia; Easy does it Apraxia preschool. They are both available from linguisystems.com. I think I might look into those because they seem to have more activities and therapy ideas associated with them.
Anyway, just wanted to offer my opinion. Good luck with your kiddos!
