I see a battle a long ways away.
It looks as if its been a bloody day.
Everywhere I see men dying.
The wounded with their pain are crying.
The dead their last breath sighing.
But I keep moving...I never pause.
I'm looking for a greater cause.
And there before me I see kneeling,
Praying with such fervent feeling,
A young man of the Lord.
"Lord", he was saying.
"Just before we left today I told these men of You!
I saw the joy that filled their hearts as You told them What to do. Be with them now and show them how, to Always in You abide!"
As his head fell with a sigh,
I know that a great man of God had died.
My heart, from Christ's great Love reeling.
I found the Cause that I was seeking!
This poem was written by a Brother in Christ and in Arms....Phil Muller...A Patriot, A Veteran and a soldier of christ...Phil now walks with God..We went home to be with the Lord last year...Rejoice in that there is everlasting life and the promise of eternal peace
