Hello Jason...
Thank you for the quick and accurate report on the Superlifting Stars Pro Bench!
The lifters held the audience in awe the entire 2 hours. The audience kept growing the whole time til there were so many people they were stretched around corners trying to see. Great job to everyone who made this happen!

:
: Thanks to meet director Kirk Stroud and Samm
: Stroud, Stroud’s Fitness and their Team for
: running a quality, quick and efficient
: operation. The referees ran tight judging.
: The platform manager and spotter loaders
: were fast and loaded perfectly. The famous
: announcer Chuck Lamantia was awesome. The
: legend Ken Lain showed once again why his
: legacy continues. He was extremely positive
: and supportive of the current champions.
: The Producers, Directors and film, camera,
: officials, scorecard, score table,
: logistics, sound, music, staging, promotion,
: security, and platform Crews were all
: professional and superb. The list is very
: long of great people who helped, and they
: all deserve congratulations because it was
: not easy to work a format that had never
: been done before.
:
: Thanks to Ed and Betty Pariso’s Europa Super
: Show Sports Expo for providing a great
: venue!
:
: All the lifters who came for this
: groundbreaking powerlifting event showed
: real courage, sportsmanship and camaraderie.
: Thanks to a couple of lifters who had
: serious pre-meet injuries, and another who
: was still recovering from an earlier meet,
: but honored their commitments and showed up
: for this historic competition. The results
: here do not fully indicate extra rep
: attempts that were made but not passed by
: the referees. The intense battle between
: Tiny Meeker and Scot Mendelson in the SXR
: 600 had everyone’s eyes glued to the stage.
: It is but one of a number of examples of the
: dramatic energy of the event. After the
: third, tie-breaking set both men were
: exhausted. Scot was helped off the bench
: and Tiny rolled off to the floor. Neither
: competitor would let the other win, yet now
: both Tiny and Scot share the new World
: Record for strict reps in this division at
: 600x11. Ken Lain bounded up on stage and
: held both their arms up in victory.
:
: The contest started at 12 noon and wrapped
: up in time before the pro bodybuilding
: began. The audience was captivated with
: nonstop pro lifting and new World Records
: for the supermax. In less than 2 hours over
: 200 huge lifts were completed by these top
: pro benchers who proved in this competition
: that strict power repping was more extreme
: than was imagined. The energy throughout
: the Superlifting Pro meet was incredible.
: After the meet, the competitors were already
: planning their strategies for the Olympia
: Powerlifting Supershow, Sept 27th in Las
: Vegas. A big thanks to the
: standing-room-only, packed Audience! You
: were the best!
:
: This initial report is a very, very brief
: account of the competitors, atmosphere and
: people before the meet and at the Europa
: Powerlifting and Superlifting Pro Bench
: stage. There is a detailed story to be
: reported about every Superlifter in the
: event, Jason, Jesse, Frank, Joe, Rob, Bobby,
: Scot, Tiny, Glenn, Sebastian, Paul and Gene.
: An in depth account of this fantastic event
: will follow!
