My 2 cents

I think we have a few factors to consider. We seem to have less support from people with items to show or sell. It always sounds great with 40 to 50 tables sold but it only represents +- 20 people. In the past I have brought some collections to show and plenty to sell keeping the newer fishables to a minimum. More recently I bring more to sell as that seems what people want to have but maybe I am wrong. Maybe we should institute a theme for our shows like the Steam Show or Decoy guys have. Say next show we devote our show items to Hex and Heddon. Next show Canadian and American metal etc. etc. I enjoy seeing Bruce's and Patrick's fine collections at the shows they attend. There's much to be learned and shard in viewing quality collections such as these. I think part of our issue is we are trying to fill tables to put on a Big show rather than having a quality show. When the vendors show up selling sox and Arctic Wolf sweaters I'm out....😜
Let's do our best as individuals to promote our hobby and encourage younger collectors to join us. There are plenty of collectors they just don't always choose to come to our shows.
