I personally don't grow anything since I don't own a home or have access to any soil, I've just been interested in the phenomenon for many years. Eugene has a ton of full sized Trachys not to mention other interesting evergreens: live oak, arbutus, olive, oleander, huge bananas, bay tree, evergreen vines, etc.
