I spent the first 18 years of my life there (now in Eugene, a veritable palm mecca) and always speculated as to whether any palms would grow there. Then this fall while visiting family I discovered a pair of small palms (I believe Washys) growing on the north side of a house up by the veteran's home east of town. Though I imagine the cold spell got them...
Where is your garden? Do you know of any other palms or exotics in the local area?
