Totally agree Roger, I never really liked any of the other skiffle groups, they all seemed so tame compared to Lon. He had proper instruments and dressed very smartly and no one else could get near to him vocally. Most skiffle groups were massed rhythm guitars and massed voices and very little content. The only non Lon song that made an impression was Dickie Bishops "No Other Baby".
