No, before the LD jazz band Dave- just a group of kids keen on jazz having a go- a youth club sort of effort- it was LD's first efforts at playing with other musicians. He was on guitar and didn't sing. You'll find a mention of it in Fan's Star Library but a bit more depth in a recent book called The Restless Generation by Peter Frame- Roger recommended this to me, so all this anorak stuff is entirely his fault.
