Yes, I keep you all informed.
What I surely know is that he consequently always said FRANKIE & JOHNNY was "the first song I ever learned", but letīs try to find out if it was really his first recording.
Frankie & Johnny was recorded in the 1920s by King Oliverīs Band, and so it would be possible that a British Trad Jazzband of the 1940s or 1950s would have covered it during the beginning of Jazz Revival.
