"The Restless Generation: How Rock Music Changed the Face of 1950s Britain" by Pete Frame. A wonderful book - the best yet on the birth and development of British pop music in the '50s. Much on Lonnie and the skiffle explosion. Pete Frame is well-known for his Rock Family Trees books. This new 500-page volume is a most worthy addition to the genre.
